Brian Jansen
My practice is currently near capacity. I prefer to work with clients who can keep regular weekly, biweekly, or monthly appointments. If I can't see you, I am able to refer you to colleagues or graduates of my training program who do similar work. Thank you, and I look forward to hearing from you.

What’s Different About this Therapy
People often find their way into my practice when they are looking for real, positive change. This is not a cognitive therapy focused on understanding yourself better intellectually, though that often happens as a byproduct of our work together. The therapy is experiential - in that it brings you into an experience of yourself in such a way that supports a natural reorganization of the body-mind system in the direction of healing. As a result you tend to feel more connected, more aware, more alive, more whole.
We are working together in this journey, involving and listening to the body in a way traditional psychotherapy does not. This therapy helps dissolve patterns of physical and psychological distress, and supports recovery from past trauma. It is a catalyst to many positive changes.
Available In person & Online
Whether in person or remote, the sessions are equally effective.
-
Remote sessions via Zoom involve bringing support to your body-mind system and areas where you're feeling distress or wishing to evolve. Sessions include supportive listening, dialogue, somatic exploration (guiding your awareness into the body and tracking somatic shifts), and may include self-directed touch or movement to stimulate or balance your energy.
-
In person sessions involve all the same elements of remote sessions driven by talking, but with the added component of touch. This non-manipulative contact with the body is not physical therapy or massage; the client remains clothed. It is inviting through touch a deeper connection to oneself, regulation of the nervous system, a liberation of the life force, and a clearer sense of wellbeing within you. It supports the body and mind’s own capacity for self-regulation and self-healing.
Learn more about my modalities
I draw from a few modalities that work in a sophisticated way with the interrelationship of the body, mind, and spirit (or consciousness). Together we can decide what works best for you. Click below to learn more:
-
Polarity Therapy is an advanced biofield therapy that works with the life force as it manifests in physiological and psychological patterns. It encourages a natural healing process in the client through verbal communication, therapeutic touch, nutrition and exercise. Polarity Therapy draws from eastern and western influences, in particular Osteopathy, Naturopathy, Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda. Revitalizing one’s vital energy (also known as chi or prana) supports regulation of physiological and psychological functioning and supports the body/mind’s own resources for self-healing.
-
The NeuroAffective Relational Model is a vehicle for personal transformation. It is a cutting edge model for addressing attachment, relational and developmental trauma by working with the attachment patterns that cause life-long psychobiological symptoms and interpersonal difficulties.. These early, unconscious patterns of disconnection deeply affect our identity, emotions, physiology, behavior and relationships. NARM offers a sophisticated model for how to work simultaneously with these diverse elements. In addition to supporting greater regulation and resiliency, this model nurtures one’s life force —the inherent energy underlying our physical, psychological and spiritual wellbeing.
-
NeuroAffective Touch® is a professional somatic training that introduces psychotherapists and bodyworkers to touch as a vital therapeutic bridge to body-mind integration. The training addresses attachment, emotional, and relational deficits that cannot be reached by verbal means alone.
-
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) is a healing art that works with the energies that create and maintain health in the human system. While not a manipulative therapy, it has its roots in Osteopathy and has evolved to include influences from human development, pre and perinatal psychology, trauma resolution, and recent advances in neuroscience. BCST supports nervous system regulation and allows the resolution of conditions resulting from stress and trauma. Practitioners use an educated, gentle, non-invasive touch to engage with the expressions of health in the system.
-
The Somatic Practice developed by Kathy Kain, PhD provides professional development and training for those in the fields of somatics, psychotherapy, trauma recovery, and physical care. The focus is to provide training in the use of touch for trauma recovery and for deepening somatic awareness.
